It is mentioned in the yearbook, that the Wilson Twirlers attempted to break tradition. They used more dance steps in routines and more complicated formations were attempted. At this time twirlers also performed at basketball games in the winter.

This may have been the first year that the Warriorettes were added to the marching band group. In addition, the majorettes wore headdresses while the twirlers wore a headband with a feather.
There were 120 members. It seems that the halftime show was in honor of Walt Disney. In June of 1973, the band traveled to Florida to participate in the International Lions Parade. The band placed 1st out of 35 bands. In addition, the twirlers placed 2nd. When they arrived home, a parade was held on Northampton Street and carried on to the "park". I would assume they mean Meuser Park. Over the course of two years, the band boosters raised $27,000 to send the band on the trip.

At the 4th Annual Bethlehem Globe-Times Festival (10/6/74) at Taylor Stadium (Lehigh University) the band played the following selections:
Sousa Medley
Carnival
Scott Joplin
Warrior Theme
Over 12,000 people attended the event which included 12 area high school bands and Lehigh University Marching Band.
The band was proud of their accomplishments that year. They placed first in the Central Band Category in the Niagra Falls Blossom Festival. In January of 1995, they were invited to march in Governor Shapp's inaugural parade in Harrisburg.

This is the first year that all of the twirlers wore headdresses. In previous years, only the majorettes wore the headdresses. During this season, the head majorette wore a headdress that went down to the back of her legs. She quickly discovered that she couldn't do many moves with the baton that required her to pass it behind her back. The long headdress was abandoned by the head majorette the following year. However, it was recycled and adopted by the Warrior mascot.
The band placed first in the Salute to Israel Parade in NYC.
